Information about the Rescue Swimming
Instructor at BRK Wasserwacht
The Teaching Certificate for Rescue Swimming authorises the holder to train and conduct examinations in rescue swimming in accordance with the existing examination regulations and issued implementation provisions. In addition to Water Rescue personnel, the instructor also trains interested persons who are not members of Water Rescue.
Swimming Instructor
In the swimming field, there are naturally many opportunities for community education:
- Water familiarisation with parents and child (from approx. age 3)
- Beginner swimming for children and adults
- Training and examination for official swimming badges
- Advanced courses in front crawl and backstroke
- Technique improvement in various swimming styles
- Courses for the snorkelling badge
Therefore, above-average swimming skills in at least two competitive swimming styles including starts and turns, as well as a 100m timed swim within the requirements of the German Swimming Badge Gold, are expected. Participants must learn and demonstrate through teaching practice the communication of knowledge about water, safety aspects, training theory, physics in water and error correction.
Water Rescuer Group Training at BRK Wasserwacht Unterhaching
Based on the water rescuer training, Wasserwacht Unterhaching offers advanced training for members of the water rescuer group. Training focuses on personal protective equipment, rope and equipment handling, rescue in contaminated areas, floods and flash floods, cooperation with other organisations, tactical rescue components, heavy equipment rescue, team leadership, disaster medicine and further topics tailored to water rescuer tasks.
